Mentorship Program
Focused on building meaningful
relationships and learning
opportunities for Aboriginal girls.
Mentorship opportunities include:
- Big Bunch group mentoring
- Community Matching
- Child Safety & Empowerment
Each month, mentors, little sisters
and their mothers, aunties, sisters
and grannies also gather for a variety
of shared experiences and activities
aimed at building confidence,
self-esteem, and self-knowledge.

- Slumber Parties

Enhancing our Self-Esteem
Helping young girls gain healthy self-image. A workshop that encourages healthy lifestyles and
fitness. Focused on increasing healthy lifestyle choices, setting goals, making friends and
increasing awareness.
Journey toward Womanhood
Focused on building self-esteem, honour and healthy life-styles through traditional teachings,
workshops, and sharing circles. Rooted in the Aboriginal "rites of passage" tradition, a Journey
Toward Womanhood uses a modern approach to creating knowledge of cultural roots and
community awareness. Designed to inform and educate girls about self-esteem, cultural
awareness, health & fitness and lifeskills through socialization and support.
Upcoming Events / Workshops:
Sisters Sleep Over
Open to all participants in Little Sister programs and non-participants, ages 7 – 15. Join us as
we celebrate friendship, self-esteem, self-development and self-knowledge. Bring a friend or
come alone – pizza, games, prizes, movies. Bring sleeping bags, blankets, pillow, sleeping
clothes, toothbrush, and other necessary bed time items. One slumber party held each month at
the Circle of Life Thunderbird House. Drop off at 7:00 p.m Saturday, pick up at 10:00 a.m.
Sunday.
Women's Teachings & Cultural Camp
A week-long enrichment program for Aboriginal girls, ages 7-12 that is educational, cultural,
and recreational. Led by renowned Elder Mae Louise Campbell at Grandmother Moon Lodge in
St. Laurent, MB.
